About Mitsy

Mitsy paints the bright side of ordinary things: oranges on the branch, fruit on the vine, flowers brought home from the market. Raised in New York, with family roots in Indonesia and Japan, she now paints from Minnesota, where the winters are long and the light is honest. Cats and gardens fill her days, and sooner or later they wander into the work. Everything here is painted by hand.
